  2. Changing Settings

  4. (Hint: Run WorldClock Lite and refer to the screen while reading this documentation page
  5. from a printout.)

  8. Select Change Settings from the WorldClock Lite menu in the menu bar 
  9. at the top of your screen.  
  10.  
  11. In WorldClock Lite, the operational controls on the Change Settings screen  
  12. Include the date and time and the Select Location button.  You can't add to
  13. or modify the 190-location database that comes with WorldClock Lite.

  15. The features of the Change Settings screen most likely to be used by demo users are 
  16. the Select Location button and the time-setting facilities in the lower left of the
  17. screen.  Click on the Select Location button to bring up a scrolling list of 190 
  18. worldwide locations.  Scroll through the list and find one close to you, or of interest
  19. ┬á                                          to you.  Click on the desired location and then click
  20.                                             the Select button, or just double-click on the location.

  22. If the location you select is in a different time zone, WorldClock will adjust the hours
  23. automatically for the difference in time zones.

  25. ┬á                                         After setting the location, check the time in the digital clock 
  26.                                            readout at the lower left of the display.  If you need to adjust 
  27.                                            the hour, click on the hour in the lower left hand corner of the 
  28.                                            screen.  The hour will be highlighted and an up-down arrow 
  29.                                            will appear.  Click on the up arrow to adjust the hours ahead 
  30.                                            and on the down arrow to adjust the hours back.  When the 
  31.                                            hour is correct, click on the blank area of the window to the 
  32.                                            left of the hour.  Similarly, you can adjust the minutes, sec-
  33.                                            onds, or AM/PM settings.

  35.                                            Other settings that can be adjusted in the same way are the 
  36.                                            day, month, and year.  Since WorldClock Lite does not 
  37.                                            permit additions to the database, the latitude, longitude,
  38.                                            and time zone readouts are informational only, and cannot
  39.                                            be set.

  41. If you have made any changes to any of WorldClock Lite's settings, including time,
  42. date, or location, or reset the location of any of the clocks, WorldClock Lite will ask 
  43. you if you wish to save the changes when you quit.  If you click the Save button, the 
  44. changes will be saved for your next sesson.  The system clock will also be set to the 
  45. current time displayed by WorldClock Lite.  If you have just been experimenting,
  46. and don't want the changes saved, or don't want your system clock to be reset, click the 
  47. No button.
